If the purpose behind action is not clear then your action will not yield results

Now you ask me how does this relate to real estate. I will give you an example, this happened some time back as a husband / wife were going through some marital problems and as a result decided that they would sell their home divide the proceeds before going their separate ways.

As it so happened they priced their home at the high end with or without the advise of their Realtor ( I was just a neutral third party not involved in the transaction ), I am not sure. This listing stayed in the market for months, price was dropped then raised back up by the seller. At the end of their listing term, the property was re-listed again at the same high price, and it still languished.

My thoughts, indicated to me that there was some reluctance on the part of sellers due to marital problems and impending separation as they truly did not want to move on. As a result hard set on the high listing price.

Conclusion to above scenario, when you decide to put your home up “for sale” always be clear on the purpose ( why ? ) because the action of selling would be hard ( due to emotions and underlying issues ) to yield results you would be happy with if / when the sale is consummated.
